Useful Advice from Your Photographer Before Your Wedding Day -

Together with Your Photographer on The Day

You do the romance, I’ll do the camerawork! Just be yourselves; spontaneous and natural.

Before your wedding day, have a quick look at how other couples pose on their wedding photos. Check my images out and those of other photographers too. You don’t need to remember much here, so don’t worry if you think you won’t remember. But it’s good to briefly examine how comfortable and close couples are when photographed together. You’ll want to feel and look like a couple in your wedding photos.

Hands are important when included in portraiture. It's often overlooked by many other photographers. If you feel uncomfortable it’s often shown by the hands, where they are positioned and how they look.

Be a little romantic together, feely touchy with each other. Nothing perverse of course...we don’t want you to shock your grandparents!

Hold hands. Look at each other. Stay close together. Maybe place your hand on his upper chest, or hold her waistline close to yours. Rub noses. Close your eyes whilst resting your heads together. There’s nothing complicated in achieving good looking couple photographs. How comfortable you both look and feel together will show.

Turn your body slightly to one side, relax your shoulders, give your new spouse the eye, make them smile, make them laugh, make them enjoy the moment. Try to forget I’m there whilst you’re busy engaging together.
